Intermediate JavaScript Engineer

The Role

We are looking for an accomplished JavaScript Engineer to join our talented team of developers and QA. At Accordo we are passionate about agile development practices and empowering cross-functional squads to achieve success within our product roadmap.

The ideal candidate should be excited by the prospect of working collaboratively with others and utilising modern technologies to achieve excellence, whilst also sharing ideas. You will have experience working in agile teams, with developers and QA engineers.

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

 

  • Work with the squad to break down stories in to manageable tasks
  • Provide accurate story point estimates
  • Develop tasks to a high quality and see them through to a finished state within a sprint

Requirements

Data Team Lead

Business Unit: Technical Group
Location: Auckland, New Zealand

The Role

The Data Team Lead will manage the team of DBA and data support analysts that is responsible for SQL database provisioning, development, maintenance, performance tuning, monitoring, data integrity, and ETL processes.  You’ll bring your DBA experience, best practices, and leadership to drive improvements in these areas.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to motivate, lead, and mentor a team to deliver great results
  • Good understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
  • 5 years + MS SQL Experience – versions 2008 R2 onwards
  • SQL monitoring, security, and performance tuning experience at server, database, and query level
  • Highly proficient in TSQL and SSIS development
  • Knowledge of replication configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Strong Powershell scripting skills
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong technical documentation skills

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Current or Recent Microsoft Certification(s) in Data Platform or Data Analytics
  • Exposure to Azure technologies specifically VMs and SQL Azure
  • Broad knowledge of reporting tools (including Microsoft BI stack) and practices.
