License Analyst – Digital Transformation

Business Unit: License Analyst – Digital Transformation
Location: Auckland, New Zealand

The Role

The primary purpose of the role is to act as a subject matter expert by reviewing current state of a customer’s IT infrastructure and providing recommendations allowing the customer to then make an informed decision about the future state of their IT infrastructure specifically focussing on cloud infrastructure.

In addition, the Analysts manage complex licensing tasks and high-level escalations received via internal and external customers. They also create and develop new processes and refine existing processes to improve production flow and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with customers providing software licensing expertise and guidance on Azure /Office 365 migration. A solid understanding of fundamental networking and computing concepts (i.e.server clustering, disaster recovery, firewalls, cyber security, etc.) is essential.

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain up to date licensing knowledge and track new product releases and licensing changes
  • Resolve licensing escalations from internal departments and external customer touch points
  • Provide basic technical customer support for both internal and third-party technologies
  • Produce reports to analyze customer environments and provide recommendations
  • Communicate directly with customers as required via both email and conference call
  • Produce and refine licensing and process resources for reference and training purposes
  • Assist with process creation/process redesign and Identify process improvement opportunities
